11 months

Happy 11 months my little man. You are such a wonderful baby who is growing up WAY to fast. Last month at this time we were still trying to get one tooth in. Over the last four weeks you have managed to get 7 more. You never fussed once over these new things growing in your mouth. The only reason I knew you even had these new teeth was because I stuck my finger in your mouth and there they were.

You are going from furniture to furniture like crazy. I know you are going to be walking before I know it. You know how to crawl normal, but you still prefer to do the army crawl.

Health wise you continue to gain weight slowly, but at least you are gaining. We see the specialists in Portland next month to see how they think you are doing. I of course go by my mommy instincts and I think you are as normal as any McNally can be.

It is neat to look back last year at this time as we were anticipating your arrival. Little did I know what God was going to have in store for our lives. You have taught me so much in your short little 11 months.

Thank you so much little man for being such a blessing to me.

Christmas Solo

The video can only be as good as the person taking the video. It is a horrible quality, but you get the point of Morgan's beautiful voice. She is the first person to sing.

Christmas Program

This Sunday was the Christmas program at Morgan's school. I tried to download her solo, but I am just not that good yet. I will try again later. You will just have to trust me when I say she did awesome. She was so confident. When I asked her if she was nervous she said, "No, why would I be mom." Well, maybe because you are singing a solo in front of 400 people. I guess I'm just not meant to be on stage like my daughter. She must get that from Mr. McNally.

Creepy Crawlers

I have made it no secret to my children that I have MAJOR arachnophobia. I have tried so hard to not pass this down to my children. When a spider appears I tell my brain, don't react just act calm. Of course it is not in my nature to act calm.
Apparently here in Nevada they have very large spiders. We have been witnessing these large guys first hand. With the weather being so cold at night these little guys have worked there way into my home. At least once a day I have found one crawling somewhere in the house.
Here's where the kids come into play. Brandan has decided that we can't kill these guys. We must save them. He is scared to death of them, but by no means are we allowed to kill the little creepy crawlers. Mr. McNally and I are faced with a major moral delima do we kill the spider like a normal family, or do we try our best to preserve the little guy and set him free. So far the latter has not happened, but please don't tell my little Brandan.
As soon as I get over my fear of these ugly creepy crawlers I will post a picture. If you know me at all you aren't holding your breath for that picture.

Christmas Pictures

Every year I have been so on board with doing Christmas pictures. I love getting Christmas cards and I love sending ours out. This year my mood has been a little different. On Sunday I told Mr. McNally that it was time to take the Christmas picture. My original thought was to have all five of us in the picture. After much thought I decided I just didn't have it in me to get myself ready for this picture. After getting the kids all ready and propped in front of the Christmas tree for a perfect shot I realized the shot was just not going to come. The kids were all in different moods. The picture that I put up on the header of my blog describes perfectly how they were that evening. Morgan was compliant like always, Logan was very tired and confused as to why he had to sit there and not play with the tree, and for Brandan, well he was his crazy self. So, after looking at all of the hundreds of shots that I took, I might of gotten one shot. We will just have to see.

Black Friday

Guess who was up at 3:30 and out the door at 4:00 this morning. Yup you guessed it. Ryan had to be at work at 4:00 this morning so I thought it only fair for me to get my behind out of bed and see what was out there.
Did I need anything? No, I didn't. Did I buy some things? Maybe.

Thanksgiving Feast

We started out the Thanksgiving holiday with a little feast at Morgan's school today. It was so fun to go and sit with Morgan and all her little friends and enjoy some yummy food. I have some fun photos to put up, but I need to take them off my camera first. Well, I guess I will just have to save that for my post tomorrow.
By the way I am only six days off from posting everyday in the month of November. Good job me!!!!!

Weekend away

We are back from a little trip down to sac for the weekend. Ryan had a basketball game to go to on Friday night so we thought we would go down with him. We had a good time with my folks. We really just hung out. Ryan and I snuck away for a few hours for dinner and a little Christmas shopping. It was a really nice weekend. Now we are home and ready to get things going for Thanksgiving.

Play

My little man loves to play. He so content to just sit on the floor for hours and play. My other two kids were just not like that. I had to be the center of their play at all times. Maybe it is just because he is the third child and he knows mommy just doesn't have the same amount of time. Maybe it's just because he LOVES life so much. I'm going with the latter, think he really knows how much of a miracle he is and he LOVES every moment of his life.

Homework

These pictures are the 1,00000000000000th reason as to why I loved home school. Right after spending 7 hours in school Morgan goes straight up to her room and spends 1-2 hours doing homework. The first picture is how I told her to feel, the second picture is how she really felt.
I'm not sure why she needs so much homework. I am completely anti-homework. She spends 7 hours in school that should be all the work she needs. When she steps through our doors it should be family time. I know, I know, please don't send me messages about how if I feel this way then I should be homeschooling her. I would love to of kept her home this year, but I know my limits as a mom and right now is not the time. So, for now I will try and make her time at home as fun as possible and maybe, just maybe there may be times I help her a little with that homework.

4 year old shots and more

We had planned for the day. Brandan knew that the day was here where he would need his 4 year old shots to get him ready for kindergarten next year. I had made appointments for all the kids to have their physicals so we could just get them all out of the way.
We took Morgan out of school early so we could go to lunch as a family beforehand. Brandan knew that once the appointment was over we were going to head straight over to Target to get a prize.
The doctor came in and checked all the kids out and then she explained we would give Logan a few of his shots (he is far behind due to all of his issues), then she told Morgan that she would need two shots to catch her up. WHAT I wasn't prepared to deal with a eight year old. She was so brave she said ok and didn't even cry. Brandan went first and he cried but he handled it like a champ. Logan went next and just a few tears fell. Morgan went last and she just sat there as the shots were given. Two and a half hours later we left the building with three very brave kids who were able to go to target to get their prizes.

kickboxing

On October 13 I took a major leap in the exercise world and joined a kickboxing class. I hate exercise and I'm sure exercise hates me back. I have been faithfully going for the last five weeks. My alarm is set for 5:30 and I am out the door at 5:45. I love it.
There has been one problem I have managed to gain weight instead of lose weight. I know, I know my wonderful husband keeps telling me that I"m gaining muscle. That is really nice of him, but I know the fact is that is not possible.
So, this week I am going to put my years of nutrition training into practice and see if I eat right if the weight will come off. I bet my weight will just start falling off when this happens.

Is it to early for Christmas?

Every year it seems I get ready for Christmas earlier and earlier. My rule of thumb usually is the Christmas stuff does not show it's face till after Thanksgiving. Last year was the first year I got a few things out early. I blamed it on my pregnancy. This year I do not have anything to blame it on. I am playing Christmas music all day, have the Christmas candles burning and yesterday I brought out some of the decorations. So, at the McNally house Christmas has begun.

Dear Laundry

Dear Laundry,

You no longer have control over me. I have gained control because of these three little baskets. I'm sorry if you are not folded perfect and please accept my apology that you will not be put away in the right drawers. Because of these three baskets the little ones will be carrying you up the stairs and putting you away.

There still might be days where you have control, but because these new baskets I am attempting to take the control away.

Climbing a Tree

Brandan's new favorite place is a tree in the yard. If I would allow him he would spend his whole day in that tree. He has a little imaginary world that goes on out there.

More on 10 months

I forgot to post on my little man's 10 month post that he finally has sprouted some teeth. He has two teeth to be exact. He is so darn cute with them.
He has turned into the best sleeper. He sleeps from 8-8 then takes a great 3 hour nap during the day.
His favorite two people in the world are his brother and sister.
I wanted to make sure I wrote these things down because these are the milestones I forget when they get older.

Happy 10 months

Happy 10 months my little man. You are still such a perfect baby. You love to give hugs and kisses to us. You have not been gaining weight the last few months so a few red flags are going up, but we are working on helping you gain weight.
I trust in the Lord and know that you are going to be just fine. Look at that perfect face what could be wrong with that.
I love you little man more than words will ever be able to express.

Mia Doll

Morgan has been asking for an American Girl Doll for the last few years. We told her that when we felt she was responsiable enough we would think about it. Well, this was the year. We let her choose which one she wanted and her choice was the Mia Doll.

Date Night

I live for date nights. Before kids we would go out a few times a week. First kid comes along and it's down to once a week. Second kid comes and we move out of state from our sitters we were down to once a month. Now with the third kid here I am very sad to say our date nights have come to a complete stop.
Date nights are so important to reconnect with the man I love. It is a time to get away from everything and not talk about kids, jobs, money, or anything else stressful in our lives.
Tonight is the night, we have made dinner reservations for 6:00 and if the night goes as planned we are even going to sneak in a movie after dinner.
I can't wait to just sit with my hubby and have some adult conversation.

First Snow

This is a picture taken from our back porch. Our first snow occurred yesterday. It was beautiful. Everyone just went on with their day like it was normal of course the McNally family acted like tourists and we were as excited as children on Christmas morning. Ryan made room in the garage to fit both of our cars. There's nothing like a little cold weather to get a family motivated to clean the garage.

Next Belt

Morgan received her next belt at karate. The pictures I took really stunk due to the fact I was trying to deal with a crazy 9 month old.
Bad pictures and all we are so proud of our little girly, girl, who can probably beat up her mommy at this point.

Time Change

The time change has made for one crazy McNally household. It started at 6:00 last night when Brandan declared he was very tired and it was time for bed. Awesome let's go, and off we went to start the bedtime ritual. He was out by 6:30. The little man followed at 7:00. Of course my little night owl Morgan was forced to go to bed at 9:00. Ryan and I thought this is great a whole evening to ourselves.
Well you can guess how the rest of the story goes, at exactly 5:30 this morning I had two very happy boys ready to start their days.
I hope the time change went better in your home then ours.

Halloween menu

Morgan had the day off school on Halloween. Who knew there was such a thing as Nevada day? Anyway it worked in our favor. We came up with a Halloween menu.

Here are a few pictures of our food choices, apple teeth, spider crackers, and mummy pizza.

Star Party

Morgan has had her eyes set on a $200 telescope from Costco for the last few months. She has begged and pleaded with us to get it for her birthday. Of course the budget does not allow for such a luxury for a child of ours. Fearing that this may just be a phase we settled for the $25 one from Target. On Saturday she requested we eat outside and enjoy her new telescope. She declared the evening the star party.

Happy 8 years

I can't believe my baby girl is 8 years old now. I will never forget the day she was born. Ryan and I were eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. While we were sitting there enjoying our chips and salsa I looked up at Ryan and said, "I think my water just broke." Of course he didn't believe me because we had just been at the doc and I still had three weeks till she was due. "NO, I'm not kidding, I think we better go to the hospital." Sure enough 22 hours later and after four hours of hard pushing little Morgan Ashley came into the world. God knew the desires of my heart was to have a little girl. I always tell people it was purely to dress her up cute and do her hair. Very selfish reasons, but God still granted me my wish.

I am so proud of my little girl and all that she has accomplished in her 8 years. She is so bright. She is the best big sister to her crazy brothers. I love you little Morgan.

It will include LOTS of shopping, talking and I'm sure we will have to fit in some fun foods in there. Morgan and I have missed our friends so much so it will be a much needed weekend for the both of us.

9 months

Happy Nine Months (and a few days) my little man. Logan continues to be such a joy. He is the happiest guy I have ever seen. He is scooting everywhere. His little teeth still have not come in I can see the whites of them, but they haven't broken through. He has pulled himself up once. Just yesterday he started sitting up by himself from the laying down position.

Health wise he seems great. He has a neurological evaluation on Monday so we will see what they say.

Thank you again Lord for this wonderful little man.

Birthday Weekend

I had a great birthday weekend. It actually was a birthday week. Morgan had the week off school for their fall break. We spent the first few days finishing up the house and the rest of the time we just played and played. We went down to Sacramento on Thursday and had a relaxing weekend. The kids and Ryan spoiled me by letting me shop all weekend and eat at whatever restaurant I wanted. Yesterday we finished off the birthday with Ryan and Morgan giving me beautiful cards. Morgan picked out her own card that was so wonderful. It made me cry.
Happy 33 to me. I have a feeling this is going to be my best year yet.

HOME

We are here we are getting settled and we are loving our new home. I have not taken any pictures of the house yet, so I leave you with a cute picture of my boys.
