Logan 5 weeks old

I can't believe Logan is already five weeks old. I will try and give you an update on how he is doing.
1. Liver - Improving every visit. The two huge bruises on his liver are going away. One is completely gone and the other one has shrunk by half. They theory is that all of the internal bleeding he had started in the liver. The liver specialist has him on three different medications for now. As of last week he was pleased with his progress and does not want to see us again for two weeks.
2. Kidneys - The kidneys are now functioning at 20% this sounds bad, but we were at 0%. Like the liver specialist the kidney specialist feels like we continue to improve. He has put him on a medication to stabilize is acid levels, but other than that he was pleased. Like the liver doc we will see the kidney doc in two weeks.
3. WEIGHT - this has been the most concerning area for the last week. The liver doc has him on a special formula mixed with my breast milk then mixed with a fatty oil. It is a fun cocktail that I get to mix up every three hours. The good news is he was put on this cocktail last week and three days later when he saw his regular peditriation he had gained 3 ounces. PRAISE GOD!!!!!! It is working.
His pediatriation is seeing him on the off week that we are not going to Portland for the specialists. Our next visit is next Tuesday where she will weigh him and draw labs for the specialists for the following week.
Please just continue to pray for healing. We continue to give God the glory in the miracle that Logan is. His little body has healed so much in the last five weeks.
I will try and keep you posted on the weekly visits

Home Sweet Home

We are home!!!!!!!!
I have so much to write about, but for now I will just give you a little
update on how Logan is doing.
1. He gained weight for the first time on his doctor visit this week.
This was great news because he had continued to lose weight since he
had his last blood transfusion. With this good news I can now try and nurse him at his 3:00a.m. feeding. He HAS to eat every three hours, a combination of my milk and a special formula for his liver.
2. We are doing a blood draw this monday to see where his kidney and liver levels are.
3. On Friday we see the liver and kidney specialists in Portland to see how we are progressing.
We have come so far in the last month with our little miracle baby. We still have a long road ahead of us this year, but we trust that the Lord will continue to do His will through Logan and our family.
Please just pray for the continued improvment of his liver and kidneys and for the long term effect that all of this trama has had on his little body.
Thank you again to everyone for all of your love and support.

Logan Joshua

Introducing Logan Joshua:

Here is our little miracle baby. When he comes home I will be able to get some good pictures, but for now I wanted everyone to see our little man.

Logan is doing wonderful. He continues to improve everyday. We are still in need of prayer for his liver and kidneys, but everyday they are getting better.

Thank you again to all of you for ALL your prayers and support during this time. We are so grateful and words can't even describe the love we have for all of you.

Thank you

As I am writing this I am very overwhelmed and humbled. I will write a little bit about how Logan is doing, but I mostly just want to write about how grateful we have been to everyone for all of their prayers and support. We have continued to see the Glory of the Lord through this whole journey that the Lord has taken us on. People have surrounded us with so much love and support. We are so grateful to each and everyone of you. THANK YOU!!!!!!
Last night we decided to come home and TRY and get a good night's sleep. We were so grateful to see our kids and hug and kiss them.
As of this morning Logan continues to improve. Ryan and I were both able to hold him yesterday which was a miracle. They started feeding him yesterday, he tried a bottle but decided that was to much work so they did put a feeding tube in him. I'm just excited that they are even feeding him.
The bottom line through all of this is Ryan and I both know that Logan is a gift to us from the Lord. We are thankful for Logan and are excited that the Lord thought that we were strong enough to handle this journey. We know that it is only through the Lord's strength that we will make it through.
Thank you again to all of you.

I have come to the conclusion that Logan is going to be the first child born to the McNally's that is going to be a rule follower. He knows he is not suppose to come to see us till the 9th, so by golly he is going to wait till that day.
