We are 100% organic. And yep, that means no happy meals (they've never had one or fast food for that matter). I am not crunchy, you know that but we are conscious of what our kids eat. It's just what we do, we don't push it on others.
Oh, you know I'm organic when I can afford it and that is sadly our bottom line. I do try to buy as healthy as possible even if it's not organic. I'm a really stickler for no high fructose corn syrup.
We do however indulge on occasion with fast food and soda...oh well, that didn't help you at all:)
I'm about 50 / 50 on organic. I've found that most organic items do taste better than their non-organic counter parts, but I"m not a stickler about it. I'm like Alida, I try to stay away from high fructose corn syrup and I also try to avoid trans fats (hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils). This doesn't mean I never have any of either of those things, but I do my best to avoid them and keep my family away from them too.
I could have written Alida's first paragraph myself. I also try to pay attention to the stuff on the "dirty dozen" list and buy those things organic.
For me, the bigger thing is trying to eat local whenever possible. We shop at EZ Orchards a lot, but I'm guessing that'd be too big of a commute for you now :)
well, you've gotten a lot of responses with one little question! I'm kind of like some of your friends, when I can afford it I'm more conscientious about organic. But I mostly focus on less processed foods, more fresh food. I try to make stuff from scratch. That's all. And my kids have had their share of fast food, but we don't live on it. (when you travel a lot, sometimes it's hard to avoid, though I try to pack food whenever possible.)

Why are you asking?
Do you really want to know what I think :) Darren thinks it's all a big sceme to make you pay more for food....
Though we are trying to eat better, low glycemic. But not paying out of the pocket for the word 'organic' on a lable.
But we still have pop, and dessert at times, but have cut back on chips and crackers (fillers)
Why you asking girly??
