See how they run
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Not in my garage. Any suggestions on how to get rid of these very gross things in my garage. My kids think it is the coolest thing ever. While I am trying not to panic and just put my house up for sale, or burn it down. Neither of these two options seem like good choices to my husband so I am left asking if any of you have experience with these little things.

We have all kinds of critters. However the only mouse we've found was dead! Poor thing. Isabela kept screaming, "MOM, GusGus died!"
I'm not sure if the kids accidentally stepped on him or if something else got him first. (He did seem to have something that looked like a footprint on him)
So we buried him with much hoopla and occasionally Isabela put a leaf on the burial site to keep him warm!
I know this doesn't help, but as long as they are not in the house, no need to panic!
Wow! I am ready for fall now! LOVE the look of your blog....look at you, Techno-girl! : )
I don't have experience with mice, so keep us posted so that you can be the expert mouse-catcher advice lady! Sound exciting!
I vote for mouse traps. We had a family of mice living here when we moved in and Jason systematically got rid of them by putting out a mouse trap every night and catching them one by one. I did not have a part in emptying the traps, that was his job.
Either that, or get a good mousing cat. But I think mouse traps are easier, and much less expensive, don't you?
By the way, you are now officially in the AV club. You rule!
Love your new look ... you guys are so "Blog Savvy", I am not!! I need help!
I've never had mice, only runaway hamsters occasionally! But, I guess I'd go with Leslie's advice, since she's our friend "On The Ranch" ... Cat's are way cuter than mousetraps, though!!
We had a mousie problem at our house in San Diego, my vote is for mouse trap and pest control, who puts traps outside of the house as well. That worked of us. Good luck mouse hunting.
Love the fall look! :)
~danielle :)
I can't help you with the mouse dilemma, but I can say, awesome fall blog, Mrs. Fancylady.
See you can do it!! Pretty!!
Peanut Butter and mouse traps. The mice love PB...you will catch all 2 of them that way. Darren's parents get them in their cars! YUCK...guess that is something you have to deal with on 5 ACERS! Not .05 acres :)
GOOD LUCK RYAN :)
I vote with Karen. Plus, I love your new look. I have your present on my desk at work. Grab it either on Friday or Sunday at church. Love you Kristan.
Ooooh...someday I'll have to blog about the mouse we had in our house.
Getting rid of them...it all depends on how humane you are. Josh and I spent some time at Lowe's trying to figure that out. We looked into the trap that electricutes the poor suckers. (It had a picture showing how the mouse walks in, seconds later is zapped to death, and how convieniently you can just pick up the contraption, let the fried mouse fall into the trash, and set it out for another round. Even though it gave us the creeps, it seemed like a quick death!)
There are the traditional snap traps. Peanut butter seems to lure them.
And then there are the glue traps and the walk in box traps. You can do a "catch and release" with those if you want.
I think I'll blog about it sometime and then I'll tell you what we ended up doing.
