Love Dare Part 2

So I'm stuck on Day 7 and 8. I have been working on them all week. The dare for these two days is on Day 7 you have to write down on one piece of paper everything that bugs you about your spouse (ok it really says things that are negative, but I interpret it as bugs) on another sheet of paper you have to write about the positive things about your husband. I loved this exercise, and I flew through it. The next day I looked at day 8 and it said to take the paper of all the things that bug you about your spouse and burn it. WHAT!!!!!!!! I'm not ready for that. I realized after going through these two days I had some growing up to do in my own life. God is basically saying to me I know there are things that bother you about your husband, but you need to focus on all of those positive things and the negatives will become so much less. So in conclusion I am still working on these two days till I can grow in myself to just love and accept my wonderful husband for who he is.
I am so scared for my husband to get to these two days. I can't imagine how long his lists will be.
I also realized after doing this post I really don't have any pictures on my handsome man by himself. This was the best picture I could find.

Aprons

I love Aprons. I always have and now that I have three crazy kids my aprons come in use. My aprons are pretty worn after 13 years of marriage so I thought it was time to treat myself to some new ones. I wish so much that I was crafty and I could just make one, but I'm so not crafty so I had to settle on finding one. I have searched high and low and the cheapest one I could find was around $30. $30 that sounded ridiculous. I gave up on having new aprons because there was no way the McNally bank could afford the luxury of a new apron for that price. A few weeks ago when I was in Sac I went to Ross and guess what they had a huge selection of aprons. The price $6, now we are talking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited. You better bet I am cooking up a storm in those new aprons.

Love Dare

"The Love Dare"
I'm sure most of you have seen "Fireproof" by now, but have you done the Love Dare book? I picked it up about a month ago at Costco for $8.00. It sat on my nightstand for a few weeks because I wanted to be ready to do it. Finally I decided to do it. It took me four days to get through day one. Day one was working on my patience with my husband. I am very sad to say patience does not come easy with me especially with my husband. Once I finally got past day one I have been loving it.
It doesn't matter where you are in your marriage you can get something out of the book. It has brought up really good conversations between us.
I even think Ryan has secretly started reading it, because I have heard some things come out of his mouth that I know are only from the book.
Try and do the book without your spouse knowing it, I think that makes the journey even more magical.

Another Fun Weekend

It seems like we have had three fun weekends in a row. Ryan has spent most of our thirteen years of marriage working on Saturdays. Three weeks ago he started a new position and with that he has Saturdays off. I knew we had been missing out, but I never really understood how much we were missing out till now. With Morgan in school this year we just didn't have a family day. We are loving those weekends off. We will enjoy them for as long as they last. Last weekend we went to Sac for a few days. It was a fun weekend full of sun and hanging out with friends. kids at the park. This picture is so far away because I couldn't get my lazy butt off the bench to get a closer shot.

I have no idea why I have this picture. This little guy was stalking me at the park.
